Abstracts on Designed Projects

Project: 1 Mission Green
Mission Green is a MISF's sole life time scheme in which we would plant 100 million saplings minimum in and around Salem and Namakkal district and maintain them ourselves till the plants starts surviving on its own. MSIF will be responsible to arrange plantlets, man power, technical needs, tools and also the entire financial support. This project is started to function from Jan, 2018 and we have planted approximately 1 lakh plants around Namakkal, and we should be achieving 50%
of progress by the end of 2018. We seek support from students and interested public volunteers for man power. we cover financial need from public offering and crowd funding.

We will be carrying this plan in schools, colleges, government road sides, parks, lakes and rivers after getting prior and proper permission. Also, extending this service to individuals on their properties upon their own request.

Project: 2 Mission Awake
Mission awake is an second important project we have designed, which is to renovate small and bigger lakes and ponds located in and around Salem and Namakkal district. There are approximately 60% of population who lives in Salem and Namakkal depends on agriculture as a living source directly or indirectly. Renovation of water reservoirs in these districts helps people to do agriculture without any problem and also for drinking water supply. According to the data released by the various government departments, there are upto, 60 small and larger area lakes in Salem and Namakkal district, to be renovated.

Project: 3 Bank of Native seeds
Native seeds, are seeds adapted to the particular origin in terms of environment, temperature, water resource and availability etc. Seeds belongs other places may not fit in our soil and for our health due to the reasons mentioned previously. We have to save our native seeds to save our soil wealth thereby supporting agriculture and life of dependents. Unfortunately, we have lost maximum of our property by replacing foreign origins which leads to lose of our soil property and also health by consuming the products.

So, MSIF planning to save our native seeds by collecting approximately 1,00,000 seeds which includes pulses, grains, lentils, vegetables, fruits and herbs. We will be establishing native seed bank with collected seeds and serve for free and/or less price to farmers.

Project: 4 Serve Nutrition
According to the data released by Global alliance of Improved nutrition 50% of Indian pregnant women suffered from Anemia, due to malnutrition and they are more prone to maternal mortality and also prone to deliver under weight babies. This is shocking to know that the ratio of the anemic women and kids keep raising every year.

Healthy women and children are the living assets to the country. So, MSIF decided to serve balanced food kit which contain healthy food materials like cereals, lentils, grains and nuts for every month with doctors advice, to pregnant women belongs to economically backward family until 12 months from the day of the confirmation of the pregnancy, and extend the same for a year. MSIF carry out this project in and around the villages of Salem and Namakkal district.

Project: 5 & 6 Save Dignity and Train a Techie
The study conducted by THE INDIAN INSTITUTE OF BIOTECHNOLOGY IN COLLABORATION WITH SOOTHE HEALTHCARE, there are 355 million women in India encounter menstruation, and only 12% among them using hygienic pads. Usage of unhygienic cloths leads to fungal infections, urinary tract infections which might cause secondary cervical cancer and infertility. This may be due to high cost of pads, non - awareness of usage of pads and availability etc.
So, MSIF will be conducting a project in which covers awareness on usage of hygienic pads, disposal
of used pads, maintaining continues supply to the rural areas and providing cost free or affordable cost pads.

MSIF will be conducting this project associated with another project Train a techie in which we will be training a job oriented skill to at least one lady member of the economically backward family. One of the training we providing is making sanitary pads, by giving low cost pad manufacturing machines. MSIF will be buying all the produced pads to serve the project ''Save Dignity''. School going girl students from 6th to 12th grade are MSIFs targeted beneficiers to provide pads by keeping pad vending machines in schools initially. This project will be extended to villages in future.

Direct and immediate need to achieve Goals
MSIF need to consider certain things to achieve its goal for now and in future. Since MSIF is still young, we are under condition of strong pre-preparations needed to start and complete projects successfully. Main things to be considered are,

  • Technical skills and Pre-Arrangements
  • Finance and Man power

Technical Skills and Pre-Arrangements

MSIF carefully designed projects which are most important and immediate need to the state. But these project needs to be executed with more care and safety measures. Our projects require large amount of tools, resources, paper works, man power and pre-planning. MSIF has to arrange technical expertise to achieve its goals in prescribed time. Saplings will be arranged with the association of forest department of Tamilnadu, other groups, private contributions and MSIF's own nursery.

Finance and Man Power
Saplings and renovation of water reservoirs itself is a life time project, which consumes large amount of money and man power. MSIF planning to meet financial needs through crowd funding and public donation. Also MSIF seeking help from student and public volunteers to complete its projects. Saplings will be planted in schools, colleges, banks of lakes, rivers and in private properties up on individuals request and with their permission.
